Before starting to build a marketing database, we carry out a data audit. This will identify quality, relationships and content of any data to be included in the system. The individual elements of the system will be designed, following the functional and technical specification document and component testing. The marketing database will be designed in such a way that a single relevant view of all information can be accessed for counting, reporting, analysis and action.
Having built the marketing database, the maintenance and operational procedures will be designed, developed and full systems and performance testing/evaluation will take place. On successful completion and approval from the client, arrangements will be made to implement the full system.

One of the most important aspects of any database solution is the ability to access and report on the customer data across numerous dimensions, typically:
Customers (profiles, segment performance, movements and metrics)

These dimensions will be defined in the initial scoping sessions with clients, who are involved in the design and setup of all reports. Reports are designed is SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and accessed on-line through a secure web portal, or distributed as PDF files by email, as required. On-line access to reports can be controlled by user group access permissions, ensuring that each individual that logs in can see only the information that is relevant to them.
The fact that the reports are deployed via a web portal, and developed as required, means that the reporting functionality can easily be extended to a larger number of users within an organisation. We create a secure user group for the entire team, or for individual destinations, and deploy suites of reports relevant only to each user group.
